GLP-1 Dose Scheduler

GLP-1 Dose Scheduler

Next dose dates, missed-dose decisions, titration calendars and pen expiry — computed per FDA label rules for Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound.

Schedule information only — not medical advice. This tool applies published FDA label rules to your dates. It cannot adjust doses or replace your prescriber. For any treatment decision, contact your healthcare provider.

How This Scheduler Works

Every GLP-1 medicine is injected once a week, but each product's FDA prescribing label writes the missed-dose and day-change rules slightly differently. This scheduler encodes those label rules as date math:

  • Ozempic — take a missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days; past 5 days, skip it (Ozempic PI §2.1, rev 5/2026).
  • Wegovy — if the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days (48 hours) away, take the missed dose now; if less than 2 days away, skip it (Wegovy PI §2.4, rev 6/2026).
  • Mounjaro / Zepbound — take a missed dose within 4 days (96 hours); past 4 days, skip it. The minimum gap between two doses is 3 days (72 hours) (Mounjaro PI §2).

When you take a dose late (inside the window), your weekly anchor moves to that day. When you skip, your original schedule stays intact. The titration calendar follows each label's 4-week escalation table, and the pen calculator applies each product's in-use storage limit.

Titration Schedules

All four medicines escalate on 4-week steps so your body can adapt and limit nausea. Wegovy follows five levels from 0.25 mg to the 2.4 mg maintenance dose across 16 weeks. Ozempic starts at 0.25 mg and rises to 0.5 mg then 1 mg, with 2 mg available if more glycemic control is needed. Mounjaro and Zepbound start at 2.5 mg and rise in 2.5 mg increments to a maximum of 15 mg. The Titration calendar tab builds the exact date of every step from your start date.

Common Scheduling Mistakes

  • Using the wrong medicine's rule. The most frequent error found in articles and forums is applying Wegovy's 48-hour rule to a late Ozempic dose. Ozempic's own window is 5 days from the missed dose — different math, different outcome.
  • Double-dosing to catch up. No label allows two doses in one week to compensate. If you already took a dose and wonder about another one, the 48h/72h minimum gap is the hard limit.
  • Keeping a pen past its life. Semaglutide pens stay usable for 56 days after first use; the Mounjaro KwikPen only 30 days. Write the first-use date on the pen.
  • Re-escalating on your own after a long gap. After 2 or more consecutive missed weeks, labels call for re-escalating at a lower dose — a prescriber decision, not a calendar one.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Pick the tab that matches your question: next dose, missed dose, titration calendar, or pen expiry.
  2. Select your medicine — the label rules differ, so this matters.
  3. Enter the dates shown (your last injection date, or the missed dose and next scheduled date).
  4. Read the result: it gives the action and the new dates to follow.
  5. For titration, enter your treatment start date to see every dose level's date range.
  6. Always confirm treatment decisions with your prescriber.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I miss my Ozempic dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days after the missed dose. If more than 5 days have passed, skip it and take your next dose on the regularly scheduled day (Ozempic PI §2.1).

What is the Wegovy missed dose rule?

If the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days (48 hours) away, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is less than 2 days away, skip the missed dose and resume on your regular day (Wegovy PI §2.4).

Is the Mounjaro rule the same?

No — Mounjaro uses a 4-day (96-hour) window and requires at least 72 hours between two doses. Zepbound follows the same rules.

How long can I use a pen after opening?

Ozempic and Wegovy pens: 56 days after first use. Mounjaro KwikPen: 30 days or 4 weekly doses, whichever comes first.

What if I miss two or more weeks?

Per the Wegovy label, reinitiate dosage escalation at a lower dosage to reduce gastrointestinal side effects — and contact your prescriber about restarting.

Can I change my injection day?

Yes, as long as the gap between two doses is at least 48 hours (Ozempic, Wegovy) or 72 hours (Mounjaro, Zepbound).

Is my data stored or sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser — no dates or medicine information leaves your device.

Is this medical advice?

No. This is a date calculator based on published FDA label rules. Your prescriber manages your treatment.
